nice countryside with some great cheeses and cider, weather and people can be a bit unpredictable but try to learn a few words of French and this should help

You have to know that Normandy is divided into two regions in France.

Tips are so numerous that a good suggestion is to have a look at :

You’ll find plenty of ideas on what to see, what to eat, what to drink, and of course where to stay.

Don’t forget that Camembert and some other soft French cheeses (Livarot, …) were originated from Normandy.

My grand mother leave there. If you go in this place, I recommand you :
-Arromanches harbour
-American cemetery
-Deauville / Trouville beach
-visit of city : Bayeux, Caen, Honfleur and Etretat.
