Since Italy Was Invaded Before France In World War 2 Why Was That Not Called The Invasion Of Europe ?
Italy is a part of Europe which preceeded the Normandy, France invasion during World War 2 yet it was not regarded as the invasion of Europe?
Why not ?

The invasion of Italy was not meant to invade the whole of Europe. It was just a diversion to take troops away from Normandy, making the Invasion of Europe through Normandy a success.
