I am really excited! I am about to head off for a European holiday with my son. We want to see the alps, experience some of the battlefields of world war 2, and maybe ski and snowboard. The problem is we are about to head off in about 2 days ( Like to be spontaneous) and I am not sure what is the best way to cross the channel. I like the idea of the ferry from Dover to Normandy, but am not sure if that is my best option. I am also not sure if we can just sort of turn up and buy a ticket when we arrive. I know that you can buy online, but like I say I like to be spontaneous and would prefer to purchase when we arrive. Any suggestions?

Hi! I have some questions about France.

First off, what is some French etiquette? I do not want to go there and be rude!

Second, what are people wearing? I am 13.

Third: What are some good sights to see in Paris? We are also planning on going to the Loire Valley and Normandy Beaches.

hi, i am anil fram india.we Indians lost the most lives in both the first and second world wars, we indians got more victoria crosses for our bravery then all the allies put together except for the soviets, and we sacrificed over lives even when we were under Britsh rule, so why wasn’t the contributions of Indian troops mentioned today in france. your all blady racist if u ask me.

I have a very old Normandy clarinet (serial number 10XX) made in France in a Noblet case. I really don’t know much about it but it plays well and has been a very solid instrument with good tone. Anybody know any history or info about it? Even the approximate age……???

I get that the french gave the vikings normandy and it became a vassle of france , then the vikings pretty much became french and then invaded england and became the king of england,so was england a provence of france??? did the normans see themselfs as french? and when did people begin to see themself as english?

i know about d-day and that but if u gone there and seen a bunch of stuff like a tourist pls help. i just want good info about tourist attractions, myths and legends, cultural traditions, interesting geographical features, currency, and names and titles of current leaders.
