Trip to France! 2011!!!!!!!!!! But I need some more info?

So me and my buds (We are gonna be 16, except for my pal who is gonna be 19 in 2011) Now we are going to go to france in 2011 and without parents just me and my two friends 16/ and 18 year old and we’re flying there unaccomponied but my friend is flying with us who is 19 and is gonna be with us at all times. NOW when we get there we have a place to stay! Saint Germaine on Saint Germaine street. Walking distance to notre dame. I have been there with my family in ’08 and I remember a fair ammount of. Now we are going to hang out with a bunch of pen pals I have met over the internet. About 6 of them :3 and I am wondering……. Can a tourist from the states be allowed to drink and smoke at 16 accomponied by a 19 year old? I heard in france it is diferent. So basically we’re going there for about a month and are gonna have a blast with my pen pals and are gonna go to resturants and drink, hang out in the Notre Dame park and smoke with them (I know for a fact that they all smoke because they have photos of them on the site with a cigarette sticking out of their mouths.) And we are not going just for drinking/smoking we are doing it to experiance the great scenery of Paris(Maybe Normandy if we can afford it!) and we still have along time ’till then but basically.. Do you think $1500 american dollars will get us anywhere (Per person.) and we’re gonna all three split a room at the Hotel. Now do you think we could do this? Or should we make our budget bigger? We are willing to get it bigger. We plan to be working mowing lawns, working for my friend who roofs houses and makes extensions etc… Now you think 2 years will get us enough money? We plan to work 6 days a week and 7 hours a day.

“i Have A Normandy 4 Wood Clarinet Made In France Seriel # 9368 I Need To No The Age Of It And What It’s Value

Is it marked with a “4″ above the shield, becuase if it isn’t it would be an original Normandy clarinet (circa 1952-1953) if the sheild is narrow or late 50′s-60′s if the sheild is wide. I’ve never heard of a “4″ with a serial number that low. From what I have seen the Original Normandy (narrow sheilds with 4 digit serial numbers) where made only two or three years. They were followed by a wider sheild horn with went for a little while longer (5 digit serial numbers) with a closed hole pleateau horn thrown in there somewhere (late 50′s). Followed by the “specials” (50-60′s), the resotones (60′s-70′s), the Normandy 4 which is 70′s, the Normandy 7 which is 80′s and the Normandy 10 which is out now. I’d personally recomend anything except the resotones.
There is some interesting history on the manufacture of these horns. The name comes as an American honoring of the invasion on Normandy beach. They manufactured these horns in France, shipped them in pieces (cheaper tarriff) to Kenosha WI where they were reassemebled and sold to American school band programs as an intermediate level horn. I have my mother’s which was purchased for her in the 5th grade in Michigan, serial number 4554, my step daughter now plays it (she’s the 4th clarinet player for that horn including mom, her neice, me and the kid). I have never had a tuning problem with that horn and it has went through hell with me with 15+ years of heavy use.
Now for value….$100 if it’s good, but in need a repad, up to $400 if it has been professional overhauled/replated. The instrument is definatly worth more in the hands of a good player. My college clarinet professer passed it as a good performance horn for the music major (but not a performance major).

Traveling To Normandy, France And Need Some Info.?

I’ll be traveling to Normandy, France this May and have a couple of questions that will help me plan my trip. I plan to arrive by train from Paris. Here are my questions:
1) I’d really like to see the D-Day beaches once I get to Nomrnady. Can I do this all on bike or do I need a rental car (or a group tour). I’m a pretty experienced biker and can cover a good amount of ground in one day.
2) After Normandy, I’d love to hit Brussels for a day or two. Is there a way to reach Brussels from Normandy by either train or bus. I can’t find any information online.
Thanks for the help
