The Road to Freedom – Normandy France

The Freedom Highway starts in Ste Mere Eglise, France. It is the first town liberated by the Allies in WWII during Operation Overlord. Several years later I visited the WWII Museum in New Orleans and found the Freedom Hwy Marker No. 1 tha…

How Can I Locate A World War Ii Grave In France?

My grandfather’s brother served in the United States Army during World War II. He was killed in combat and buried somewhere in France. All I know is that he was not killed in Normandy. He was killed after D-Day in a town somewhere in France. I have a picture of my grandfather by his grave yet I do not know where the grave is located. Any help would be greatly appreciated because if I can find where he is buried I want to go visit it.
