Would You Recommend The Normandy D – Day Tour As Something To Do When In France For A Few Days. ?
No.
Not that it isn’t interesting but if you have only a few days then its not the best use of your time.
Assuming you go to Paris (as most tourists would do), you will have a vast number of things to do and see and almost certainly not enough time to see even a fraction of them.
So to take even the relatively brief time to go to the train station, travel to Normandy, and then get back on the train to return to Paris, is a waste of your valuable and limited time.

I agree with Rillifane. If you only have a few days you will barely scratch the surface of Paris and maybe one or two close surrounding cities (Versailles, Orleans…).
If you have more than a few days you can include a stop at one of the most interesting beaches while visiting somewhere close or driving by, not all of them are (interesting, I mean).

I agree with the above answers.
However this is a great tour and Normandy is a fantastic region so you ought to come back and do it!
